Claudia Valentina
As a Venezuelan raised in the Canary Islands, who has
spent much of her life in Madrid, it’s hard for me to define
where I belong. However, over the years I’ve discovered
that my place is not a country or a city – it’s the stage.
I’ve found my own way of living in the performance space through movement and visual worlds – mixing them with fashion, music and scenography to create spaces where sensuality and raw truths collide. I believe that all the different art forms must coexist and influence each other to survive, which is why I weave connections between disciplines so they stand stronger together.
I like to see myself as a vessel for art and culture, not as a preacher. I don’t want to tell you what to feel, how to think, or what is beautiful or ugly. I just want you to feel something, not to feel indifferent when you see my work.
My purpose is to shake what you have inside, to awaken people’s souls and connect with them, especially those who feel far from art. I want to reach them.
